Garage Door Springs
Garage door springs act as a counterbalance to your garage door, and it actually does the heavy lifting of your garage door.
The two main styles of springs are the torsion spring and the extension spring.
These springs come in a wide array of sizes, depending on the weight of your garage door. It is important to use the right size spring in order to ensure the door is properly balanced.
A garage door with a broken spring can descend rapidly, which is not only dangerous, but the added weight can put undue stress on the opener, opener bracket, and other parts of the garage door system. We always recommend contacting a qualified technician to have your springs repaired because of the risk of injury associated with the job.
Our technicians carry both spring styles in a wide range of sizes to cover most residential applications. Broken garage door spring? No problem. We can have you up and running in no time and free your car from that trapped garage with a thorough and efficient garage door repair.

Door Off-Track
Accidents happen and we are here to help. Doors can come off-track for a number of reasons. If an object obstructs the tracks during the door’s travel up or down, the door can come off track. Sometimes a car can bump the door and cause it to go off track, requiring a garage door repair.
A lot of times this garage door repair looks a lot worse than it actually is. As long as the panels aren’t badly damaged, we can usually get you up and running with no problem. We understand the security risk associated with leaving your door stuck open, and our same-day, emergency service will offer you peace of mind when you need it most.
Weather Stripping and Vinyl Trim
Most people never really pay much attention to their weather stripping and vinyl trim until they begin to notice light, water, or small rodents in the garage, making it obvious that a garage door repair is in order. Weatherstripping, or bottom seal, comes in a wide range of colors, styles, shapes, and sizes. Some doors have a metal retainer that accepts a T-style seal. This T-style seal can be replaced by the DIYer, but this job is much easier with two people.
The loop on the seal can also be replaced with a larger loop to ensure a tighter seal between the bottom of the door and the floor. Wood doors use an entirely different style of weather stripping that is flat and simply nailed to the bottom of the door. Both steel and wood doors can also have a universal seal installed that’s compatible with most door models.
Most homeowners opt to replace the vinyl trim when the rubber gasket becomes damaged or the door is replaced. A damaged gasket allows air to easily flow into the garage around the sides and top of the door. Replacing damaged trim allows for a tighter seal between the door and the opening. With new doors, several trim colors are available and can often be color coordinated with the new door.
Hinges, Rollers, Cables, and Other Hardware
Garage doors go through thousands of cycles over the course of years. As you can imagine, the door’s hardware will have to endure the effects of friction and corrosion. Unfortunately, these forces can, and more than likely will, lead to the failure of parts over time. Rollers can snap off their stem, a hinge can form fractures and break, operator brackets can strip from the door, and cables can become corroded and frayed.
Our technicians inspect each and every part of the garage door through a thorough inspection and offer recommendations. As the saying goes, “a stitch in time saves nine.” This idea holds true with garage doors. For example, delaying the repair of a frayed or corroded cable can cause the door to go cockeyed or off track when the cable fails. Continuously using the opener with a broken spring will destroy the opener in no time.
With every garage door repair or service call, we go through and lubricate every moving part to reduce friction on the entire system. Simply lubricating the door and changing old, worn-out rollers can make a night and day difference in the operation and noise of the door.

Bent or Damaged Panels
From time to time doors are dented or damaged on only a panel or two. In this instance, the more cost-effective garage door repair is to simply replace only those damaged panels. We work with several different door manufacturers and can usually offer an affordable solution. Sometimes, however, the homeowner wishes to upgrade or completely replace the door.
